CHRISTIANITY
IN THE HEAVENS

Hi – My name
is Sandy and I’m glad you stopped by! I consider myself Christian in belief,
although some of the beliefs I hold are not considered “orthodox” by many.
For one
thing, I do not subscribe to the doctrine of the Trinity. Why not? Well, for me
to profess belief in the Trinity doctrine would mean that I wouldn’t be able to
believe that the Christ is truly the Father’s only begotten Son. I very much believe
that the scriptures plainly teach that the Son of God is truly God’s Son, born
to Him in eternity past. I also believe that our salvation depends on the
ability to fully abide into Christ, and the ability to fully abide in Christ
rests firmly on the belief that the Christ is truly God’s only begotten Son
from eternity past. From my perspective, God gave His only begotten Son for us,
not to appease some kind of anger or to render Him able to somehow “forgive”
us, but to prove how much He really does love and accept us while, at the same
time, shining a light on the path of deliverance that can only be found in His
beloved Son. It is only through our realization of the depth of the Father’s
love for us that the inward condition of our hearts can be changed – and this
depth of love can only begin to be realized when we believe, without doubt,
that the Christ is truly God’s Son.
Now I realize
that some might say that the Trinity doctrine is a mystery and that, because of
our human limitations, we are not really able to understand God’s character or
His Godhead clearly – so we should simply believe and profess the doctrine of
the Trinity even though we can’t fully understand it. To this, I would have to
present Romans 1:19-20:
Romans
1:19-20
19Because that which may be known of God
is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20For the invisible things of him from
the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that
are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without
excuse:
From my
perspective, Romans 1:19-20 clearly tells us that we surely can understand
God’s eternal power and Godhead. Based on this information, along with the
belief that the scriptures do, indeed, teach us who God and His Son are, my
choice has been to remain a non-trinitarian Christian believer.
Is there a
standard set forth in the Bible whereby one can know whether or not the belief
they hold is Christian? I believe there is, and it’s found in Romans 10:8-10:
Romans
10:8-10
8But what saith it? The word is nigh
thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith,
which we preach;
9That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
I also tend
to believe that life everlasting in Christ is found in the understanding and
application of spiritual concepts as presented in the scriptures. I do believe
that literal truths are also gleaned through Bible study but, for me, the true
life changing understanding manifests itself through the spiritual lessons that
are found throughout the Bible as the Christ presents them to my heart within.
Isaiah 55:8-9
8For my thoughts are not your
thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9For as the heavens are higher
than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your
thoughts.
It’s my
belief that if God’s way of thinking is higher than ours is, we can only really
understand what He wants us to know if we’re willing to set aside our own
fallen, carnal understanding and abide into Christ so that He can teach us the
way the Father understands all things. The scriptures are full of life changing
spiritual truths is only we’ll abide into Christ and listen carefully to that
still, small voice that lives within each of our minds.
John 17:21-23
21That they all may be one; as
thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us:
that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22And the glory which thou
gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23I in them, and thou in me,
that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou
hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
John 14:16-21
16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give
you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17Even the Spirit of truth; whom
the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye
know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18I will not leave you
comfortless: I will come to you.
19Yet a little while, and the
world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20At that day ye shall know
that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21He that hath my
commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall
be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
I am
convinced that God loves each and every one of us more than we can understand,
and that it is His desire that we be fully reconciled to Him through His
precious Son. That can only happen as we allow Christ to renew our way of
thinking so that we can be cleansed and sanctified from the inside out.
By God’s
grace, this website is dedicated to presenting Bible studies from a spiritual
point of view. May God bless you abundantly as you are renewed in the spirit of
your mind in Christ.
1 Corinthians
2:16
16For who hath known the mind of the
Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
1 Corinthians
2:6-8
6Howbeit we speak wisdom among them
that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this
world, that come to nought:
7But we speak the wisdom of God in a
mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the
world unto our glory:
8Which none of the princes of this world
knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of
glory.
Proverbs 25:2
2It is the glory of God to conceal a thing:
but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

Our thoughts are
like birds.. When they fly
freely in the heavens, Nothing can touch
them, nor evil befall them; If they fly down
to earth, They might be
trapped, held in captivity and even killed By the evil
forces that be.. Wherefore we are
admonished to keep our thoughts Flying in the
safety of the heavens, For only there
are we free From the snare of
the fowler..

28 Come unto me,
all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke
upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall
find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is
easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
