Masters Degree at Stanford University 1942. M. A. in Electrical Engineering.
Professional Experience
1942-1945. Civilian Engineer, Navy Department, Bureau of Ships.
1946-1960. Ampex Corporation. Design engineer, Director of Instrumentation Marketing, Assistant to President in charge of Long Range Planning.
1960-1970. President, International Foundation for Advanced Study. Founder and executive administrator for research group conducting clinical studies with LSD and mescaline.
1970. Stride, Inc. Consulting Engineer.
1971-1978. General Manager, Multi-Media Productions, Inc., manufacturer of social studies sound film strips for public schools.
1979-Present. Retired to focus on personal studies.
1993-Present. Member, Board of Directors, Albert Hofmann Foundation, an organization devoted to gathering the records of endeavors to use mind-expanding substances to explore consciousness and enhance life, and to further the understanding and responsible application of psychedelic substances in the investigation of both individual and collective consciousness.
1995-Present. Consultant, the Heffter
Research Institute, an organization founded to support, facilitate,
and conduct scientific research, both basic and clinical, on psychedelic
drugs, and to support scientific research which would lead to a greater
understanding of the human mind.
