Training: For Your BLM Wild or Domestic Horses |
![]()
We have fallen in love with Americas last original pioneers, the wild horse. They are as much a part of our history and a representation of what we stand for as the red, white, and blue. Join us in support of the BLMs adoption program for our last standing symbols of our western heritage and freedom. Own and work with a legend. Ask us how! We can help you with a horse that you already have, wild or domestic. If you are interested in adopting, we will help direct you to the information that you need or direct you to your local BLM office. We are looking forward to helping you fulfill your dream and partnership with your horse!
Whether you have a wild horse or a domesticated breed, we will work with you and your horse to help you be the partners that you were meant to be. If you have any questions regarding the training and/or adoption of a wild horse, or the training of any other breed that you may be interested in, please feel free to contact us at our CONTACTS page
There are many myths which accompany these horses. These myths range from being un-tamable, un-trainable, un-manageable, won't amount to anything, and others. You name it, we've heard it. However, keep clicking the web-pages for a further look at our "family" and philosophies, as they say, "a picture tells a thousand words." You'll find that you'll never have a better partner than a wild horse. From trail horse, to dressage, jumping, roping, gymkana, even crowd control, you'll find a spirit of willingness and dedication in the mind of a wild horse that will leave a lasting impression on you.
Don't tell our horses they won't amount to anything or that there's nothing that can be done with them, they might forget about their accomplishments and just mope around the corral!
We are excited to help you experience the wonder of working with a wild horse. They are a partner like no other. To experience the bond, the excitement of your first physical contact with this "wild" animal, and your continued interaction with a mustang, is an excitement and experience as no other that you will ever encounter. We look forward to helping you with the proper training and respect that you can come to know with an adopted wild horse.
We are often asked what the most difficult part of working with a wild horse is. What we find is that the most difficult part of working with these magnificent animals is this: leaving them or letting them go to their owners. The hard part is that even when working with an animal that is not going to be one of our own, the special bond that is created between the trainer and the horse, even if only working with that animal for a few hours, is indescribable. A bond between man and animal, a trust that if not betrayed by us, will last a lifetime. Our hope is that everyone will find this bond and trust with their animal. In addition, and we have to add this from many experiences, is that although well intentioned, many people want to "see what they can do with a wild horse." Without taking the time to understand the inner-workings of the mind of a wild horse, many a well intentioned person may want to "help" you and treat this animal as they would a domestic horse. It's almost like a K-9 trainer wanting to work with your house cat! It is up to us (you and I) to find that centuries old communication link between horse and man while realizing that you are working with a horse that hasn't had its natural instincts buried due to human intervention (domestic bred horses). This is not a domestic horse and we must have the ability to "adjust" in order to communicate with it while still maintaining our objective of partnership and not merely submission.
