Karen West works with the wild and domestic horses in the areas of advanced training. She works with the horse to get the lightness and subtleties of response with the bit, advanced movements of the horse, jumping, English/Western, and is working on her judging credentials and is available to judge schooling shows. Phil West

Phil also works with the wild and domestic horses, working hand in hand with wife, Karen, on the advanced movements of the horse. Phil has developed the "Pendulum Method" for the gentling of the wild horses and advances the horse's training under saddle. Phil is also a CA P.O.S.T. (California Peace Officer's Standards and Training) certified instructor for Mounted Police Horse Training. He has also served on the state's Govenor Committee which developed standards/guidelines for California Mounted Search and Rescue units through the State "Office of Emergency Services" (OES).

Phillip West

Phillip is a top hand at the ranch assisting Dad and learning the gentle methods of working with the horses as well as being top notch at assisting with the saddle training. Consistency in all of our trainings with the horse creates an environment where the horse can trust any rider since we all train/ride within that same realm.

Sheryl West

Sheryl West helps out at home when she can now, being full time at college to be a Veterinarian Technician has taken her from her helpful, knowledgable hands and seat from being a trainer at the ranch on a full time basis.
